LEATHERS  (CUEROS Y PIELES)

Paraguayan leathers are normally  traded  within the Mercosur area and
within the European Union.

While hide is the skin of large animals; that is  the  pelt taken from a
cow, a steer, or a bull of the bovine species, or from the integument of
some other large adult animal; the pelts of smaller animals are
commonly called skins:  sheepskins, goatskins, calfskins, etc. Leathers
are made from skins or hides of many animals, including sheep, goats,
pigs, horses, cattle, lizards, snakes, alligators, elk, buffalo, ostriches,
kangaroos, chamois, walrus, elephants, and seals. Nonetheless, the
most common leathers in the market are from cows, bulls, sheep, goats
and horses; as it is banned by law in many countries to kill some
animals  for commercial purposes.

Within the Mercosur area and the European Union, producers of  hides
and leathers usually offer bovine hides and leathers as it is the type of
leather and hide which is most demanded in the market.

The products we trade and offer are hides known as
cuero wet blu ,
cuero semi terminado, and cuero terminado.

We also offer treated hides or leather for decoration purposes, as the
ones shown below.

Before buying leather products it is important to judge the quality of the
