PRODUCTION
Agriculture constitutes a large sector of
South America's economy . Agricultural
production occupies large parts of rural
areas in South America. Most of the
commercial agricultural production,
especially for the export sector, occurs
on big estancias that have been the
source of economic and social
dominance for their owners for many
generations.
We work in a big portion of fertile land;
land for livestock and grazing animals.
We do intensive agriculture; a system of
cultivation which uses large amounts of
labour and capital relative to land area.
We use necessary chemicals such as
the application of fertilizer, insecticides,
fungicides, and herbicides to growing
crops. And equipments and machines
such as high-efficiency machinery for
planting, cultivating, and harvesting.
For the crop yield it is also important the
natural fertility of the soil, terrain, climate,
and the availability of water; the area
were we are located, is among the bests
in the world; as it is part of the area which
is at both sides of the Parana river, one of
the most fertile areas in America:
According to world figures, it is known
that:
“Only about one-eighth of South
America's land is suitable for permanent
cropping or grazing. It is broadly agreed
that agricultural land use throughout the
continent is less efficient than it might
be.”
The agricultural products we cultivate
and grow are:
Soya beans (Soja) of diverse types.
White oats (Avena)
Black oats
Corn
Caña de Azucar (Sugar)
Stevia paraguaiensis Bertoni (widely
known in Paraguay as Ka'ahee)
Yerba maté
Palm tree- Hearts of palms
Artificial grass for grazing animals of the
types: camerum, colonial tobiata,
bracchiaria decumbens, bracchiaria
brizanta, and estrellita africana.
Sunflower
We currently sell our agricultural
products and grains to multinational
companies; other Paraguayan and
Brazilian silos, storing plants and
factories.
